Heike & Jörg – Fabulous wedding overlooking the sea

We were delighted to be asked to help coordinate the wedding of this lovely couple from Germany. We were contacted only a few weeks before the wedding so time was of the essence!

As they spend a few months of each year on the coast, they had already booked their venue but needed some help with the details.  Being well known in their home country, it was very important to them everything ran like clockwork and their 140 guests who had travelled from all over Europe had a day to remember.

The day started with their guests having their hair and make-up done by Thomas Epping and his team who are very well known in Germany as celebrity hairdressers! The bride brought her own hairdresser and beauty team. Two large marquees were erected in the grounds of Estrella del Mar Beach Club, Marbella where the ceremony would be held overlooking the sea. A quick run through of the ceremony took place and then with the help of Gorgeous Event Decoration, the reception area was decorated with lights and flowers.

The fabulous Amanda Rosa sang for the guests as they assembled in the beach club awaiting the arrival of the groom. All were keen for proceedings to begin and 10 minutes ahead of schedule, the bride entered to the Bruno Mars hit ‘Marry You’. The ceremony was conducted in German and after 40 minutes, the couple were pronounced man and wife to the delight of their guests.

Petals were thrown as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle and then they were surprised with a dove release by one of their guests. Drinks, music (again provided by Amanda Rosa) and congratulations followed while the photographer, Wolfgang (from Bild Newspaper) documented the day.

Dinner was a very Spanish affair with assorted tapas being served in the centre of each of the tables for guests to pick at before enjoying the sumptuous BBQ buffet followed by a mouth watering dessert of white chocolate torte.

The evening entertainment was provided by a DJ flown over from Germany who, in between tributes and acts from guests though out the night, kept the dance floor filled.
